About Us
The Hong Kong Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology was formed in 2006 by a group of Neurosurgeons, Neuroradiologists and Neurologists who were actively engaged in the field of Neuro-endovascular intervention treatment.
This rapidly growing and highly specialized field of medicine was developed in the recent few decades and has brought about revolutionary change in treatment principle and result to patients suffering from neurovascular diseases: including cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformation and fistula, vascular tumor, extra and intracranial arterial stenosis, and stroke.
The society aimed at :
- providing a platform for doctors who are interested in the field to exchange their experience and opinions,
- providing opportunity for continuous medical education for related medical personnel,
- promoting public education on related health issue, and
- promoting and supporting scientific research on related topics.
